11 Mordad 1405

Quatrain 53 of 75

“With Earth's first Clay They did the Last Man's knead,

And then of the Last Harvest sow'd the Seed:

Yea, the first Morning of Creation wrote

What the Last Dawn of Reckoning shall read.”

Omar Khayyamtr. Edward FitzGerald, 1859

Reflection · Summer 1405

The summer harvest is the seasonal version of this cosmic pattern: the seed sown in spring becomes the harvest of summer, which becomes the seed of next year. The chain is unbroken. Yea, the first Morning wrote — summer is when the writing is most visible, the year's narrative most advanced, the trajectory most legible. The summer is in the middle of the sentence that began in the first morning and ends in the last dawn.

Reading your summer as part of this long equation is not diminishment — it is expansion.
